Time is essential to this project.
From only a few minutes per day to hour long car journeys, there's more than enough time to make a lasting impact.
Below you will find all the steps you may want to take to make this project happen for you.
Research conducted by Uswitch showed that over 96% of UK citizens had access to a mobile phone.
Phones are multi-purpose devices that can be used for many useful things , like reading the Holy Quran!
Once inside the vehicle, open Sheikh Rizvi's app (download using the QR code or buttons next to this)
Select a Surah you would like to start with (we began from Surah Nas and worked backwards for a slow and steady start)
Once selected, get the passenger to read out the arabic and the translation out to the rest of the people present.
This will then prompt a discussion between the members of the trip, as they discuss potential meanings whilst referring to commentary from esteemed Scholars (e.g. Agha Mehdi Pooya or Sheikh Muhammad Rizvi).
Move onto the next Ayah when ready
The UK government has said that, in 2022, each person spent an average of 53 minutes a day travelling.
That is plenty of time to make a positive and spiritual impact on our lives!
If there are days that you are tired, you could maybe take a break or do fewer ayat than normal.
Even 1 ayah a day is a lot more knowledge than you had the day before!
Cross referencing - This allows the discussion to link with other aspects of wider Islam, not just limiting to the Quran, so allows the participants to apply their knowledge to their own lives.
Timing - In the morning, people's minds are fresh and ready to learn, so it might be a better idea to begin the day with an Islamic lesson.
Rewarding - Especially for children, quiz them as frequently as you wish and reward them if they cross-reference something or get a question right. Even a "Well done!" builds positive encouragement.
Who - Personally, we would recommend to participate in this activity with your family
