Around 18 months ago, we found ourselves in need of Quran translations to help us understand and connect with the Holy Quran
But with little time and lots of work, it became hard to fit it into our daily routines.
That's when we realised: Why not in the car?
The journey to and fro school and work often took around 2 hours of our time each day, which was still being used for religious improvement, however not always with the Quran involved.
Therefore, we thought we'd benefit more from something Quranic, keeping it light hearted whilst also being fun!
Alhamdulillah, this has kept us going for the last 18 months as we try to understand and connect with the Holy Quran.
Given that we have limited Islamic intellect, we initially consulted Agha Mehdi Pooya's commentary (see left) , to find different interpretations of the Ayah from a Shi'a point of view.
As time went on, Sheikh Sayyed Muhammad Rizvi published his own app, complete with a translation of the Qur'an and relations to events during the Prophet's time (see right) , allowing us the easiness of the mobile phone to do our translation whilst also being able to see references from outside the Quran.
This has allowed us to cross-reference many things we have heard such as in the Majalis, Hadith of the Prophet and the Aimmah and personal reflection to relate to what the Ayah may be saying.
We have found this to be very useful, and therefore wanted to take the opportunity to share it with the wider community so that we all may benefit from the fruits and lessons of the Quran.
